Previous News (Jan-June 2004)

This section will be updated once I find out any information on Nate's career.

2/17-There are more upcoming shows for Kneebody. Check out their website by going to the Kneebody page on this site and clicking on their link. Also, Nate is playing drums in the Nick Mancini Collective.

Nick Mancini Collective

1/15-Upcoming show in California:

Fri 1/19 8:00 PM Cafe Metropole [923 E 3rd Street Los Angeles, CA 90013] Rocco Presents: Damon Zick and Friends || Damon Zick - Saxophone | John Daversa - Trumpet | Adam Benjamin - Piano, Fender Rhodes | Kaveh Rastegar - Bass | Nate Wood - Drums
10/3-Happy 27th Birthday Nate!!! Wishing you all the best in the coming year.

8/21-The photos above are two of my new favorites of Nate.

7/29-Check out Nate's new site:

Nate Wood Official Website

I have to admit...it looks great. Definately should be bookmarked by anyone wanting to know about what Nate is up to (by the way..check out his photos...especially the "supermodel" in the last photo).

7/2-Check out Rosey..another musician who Nate performs with:

Rosey's My Space Page

6/2-Upcoming dates for Nate: 6/9-The Gypsy Den Grand Central Cafe: Richard Stekol w/ Nate Wood, 6/11-Temple Bar-NICK ROSEN JAZZ NIGHT 10:00PM- The Harsih Raghavan Group Featuring Larry Koonse, Nate Wood, Ben Wendel, and Garrett Smith

From "Myka and ensemble guide flow of Third Stream music": The true Third Stream highlight of the evening, however, was Billy Childs' "A View of the City," a work that achieved a convincing balance between its intricately composed passages for the woodwind ensemble and the improvised soloing from Clayton, bassist Joe Sanders and drummer Nate Wood. Although one might have wished for more development of the woodwind segments, there was no denying the brilliance of the jazz artists.

4/18-After a bit of a break from my site, I am back to provide some updates. First, I have removed the calendar. It was just too time consuming to try to stay on top of Nate's busy schedule. Second, Nate Wood has been playing with taylor hawkins and the coattail riders (Thanks to Kerstin for letting me know). The link to the website is below:

taylor hawkins and the coattail riders

If you go to the Postboard and then under photos, you can find some great photos of Nate.

1/14-Happy belated New Year. I've been incredibly busy, thus the lack of updates. In fact...I need to take some time to update the Calendar with 2006 tourdates. I did get to see Kneebody in December in New York and as usual, they were awesome. I found out that they are going to Europe in the Spring, which is great news for any international fans of Kneebody. As always, if you get a chance to see Kneebody live, you will not regret it. Oh..and buy their CD!!!

10/1-Just a tad early....but Happy 26th Birthday Nate!! (yes, Nate turns 26 on Oct. 3rd). As always I do hope that Nate has a fantastic birthday and a successful year.

9/11-There are some new shows listed on the calendar page...one show in California, 2 in New York. Also, check out Mike Baas' website. His demo was mixed and mastered by Nate:

Mike Baas' Demo

8/8-After another long absence...I am back to update the site. Tonight I found the Zubulon Cafe has an amazing live concert of Kneebody that you can download and listen to from April of this year. If you have never heard Kneebody live, this is your opportunity to hear what an amazing band they are. In fact, as I am typing this..I am listening to Pt. 2. You will not be disappointed. Scroll down until you come to "Kneebody":

7/4-Happy 4th Everyone. I know it has been forever since I updated this site. I hope some of you were able to catch Kneebody on their tour. I again managed to miss out on seeing Kneebody in New York. A combination of work and personal items kept me from being able to take time off to go and see the show...but I'm sure it was amazing as always.

5/22-Nate Wood and Kaveh Rastegar will be playing with Anna Dagmar in LA this August. Here is the link to her site:

Anna Dagmar

4/29-It's been a while since I logged on....I took a short break. I was unable to go to New York to see Kneebody in concert, but I'm hoping they will come back this year. Check out the new photo...such a typical "I'm not looking at the camera" look for Nate. This is a picture of him with the Ken Garcia Band. Check out the website here: The Ken Garcia Band

I added a new Calendar page that will now reflect all the past and upcoming dates to see Nate Wood in concert. Also, the new Kneebody CD is out..so make sure you buy your copy (links to where you can purchase it are under the Downloads page).
